Honeymoon?

The only sight you should be seeing is your new wives bullethole in the air as she is face down in the pillow doing as she is told. For the very last time...

HTH...

My travel advice would be to get the first bus outta there, maybe to Essaouira or up north to the mountains.

Go to a Hammam - dirt-cheap and very relaxing.

Go to the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa) at night and have goat's head (or something else - you'll be spoilt for choice.

I had my hair cut in Marrakech, which was a novel experience, not sure I'd recommend that, though.

Go into the mountains for a day-trip is well worthwhile.

Don't be a dick. You're gonna get hassled by EVERYONE to buy something or get directions! Just say "no thank you, maybe next time" and move on.
If you're a dick to them, they'll be a dick to you.

The Square is an eye opener, apart from that I'm struggling.
Daytrips are tricky as Morroco is pretty big so your talking prob 7 hours to get up North to the mountains if I remember correctly.
Essouaria is prob one of the nearest decent places and that's 3 hours.
May as well go for it now you've booked and go for a desert.trip in the Sahara which is near and you get even spend the night in one of the Viliages there or in a tent, could be romantic?

Probably the shittest place I've been - they blokes just stare at your mrs which my mrs found very intimidating. Anything worth seeing can be seen in a day. Dirty smelly, and culturally I found it just like east London.

Good grub though.

What on earth possessed you to go to Marrakech on honeymoon?

Go to Tenerife with SLH - even that is better!

My travel advice is to go there by aeroplane. Most likely to find one at an airport.

Re: Travel Advice for Marrakech
Basically, as mentioned below, the main square is good for street food and being hassled by chancers, the French Quarter is modern and European in most senses and the Restaurants reflect that.

I liked Marrakech, it is a poor country with some massive cultural differences to the UK, but isn't that why you choose to travel?
